How to find the conversion factor
For example:
To find the conversion factor to change 2 and 1/2 cups to 50 gallons:
1: Click "cups to gallons"
2: Enter 2.5 in the cups entry box. (change fraction to decimal)
3: Enter 50 in the gallon entry box.
4: Click "Click to Convert"
5: 320 will appear in the result box. This is the conversion factor. You can now multiply all of the ingredients
by this number.
6: The conversion factor can be used as "number of servings you want the recipe to yield"
on the Recipe Size Converter Calculator reduce or increase quantity of Ingredients
Type the number in the box and then click "Click to Convert"
If the number is 6.7 then type "6.7" (no quotation marks).
You may type the decimal point.
If the number is 2154 you may type "2,154", you may type the comma. Type "2,154".
If you want to type "256,678", but you type "25k,678", the computer will use "25678" to
calculate the answer.
If you type "ghblxz", the computer will use "0" to calculate the answer.
If you type "1.9e2", the computer will use "190" to calculate the answer.
